  • FEB 2018

    In February 2018, Grupo Bimbo for the fourth consecutive year obtained a perfect 10 evaluation as the most responsible food company in Mexico, thanks to its corporate governance and responsibility during 2017 – recognition that was made through the Corporate Responsibility and Governance Ranking published by the Corporate Reputation Business Monitor (Merco).

    In February 2018, Grupo Bimbo was recognized for the second time as one of the most ethical companies in the world, becoming the first Mexican company and one of the few food corporations that are part of this list – prepared since 2007 by The Ethisphere Institute – on which 124 companies from around the world are included.

    Grupo Bimbo was recognized as one of the most ethical companies in the world by The Ethisphere Institute, becoming one of the few food corporations and the only Mexican company that is part of this list.

    Grupo Bimbo was recognized for the third consecutive year as the Mexican company with the best corporate reputation by the Corporate Reputation Business Monitor (Merco) jointly with El Financiero Bloomberg. The ranking lists the 100 companies with the best reputation in Mexico, which also stand out for their social responsibility and corporate governance.

    Was the second time that Bimbo Villahermosa received the Recognition of Environmental Excellence from the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (PROFEPA), which seeks to promote Mexico's environmental leadership and promote the implementation of sustainable and cutting-edge practices within industries.

    Grupo Bimbo obtained first place among the Mexican companies with the best reputation, according to a survey of consumers in Mexico conducted by the Reputation Institute and the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI).

    In the Multilatinas Ranking, held in September - October 2016, and produced by América Economía magazine, Grupo Bimbo obtained the 13th position out of a list of 100 corporations, which meant an advance of 7 positions in comparison to 2015, when it ranked 20th, 11 positions above its placement of 31st in the 2014 edition. In October 2015, Bimbo was recognized as the food brand with the highest value in Mexico. The ranking takes into account the company’s financial value, its contribution, and the brand value, as well as the impact and the singularity that it has in the mind of the consumer, its level in the face of its competitors, its affinity with consumers, and how these factors differentiate it from the competition

    Bimbo Región Sur, a subsidiary of Grupo Bimbo, which consolidates the operations of eight entities in the south of the country, was recognized with the 2014 National Quality Award for having obtained the best indicators in terms of the quality, competitiveness, and sustainability of operations at four production plants that it comprises.

    OCT 2014

    Within the framework of the 15th anniversary of the signing of the Free Trade Agreement between Mexico and Chile, Grupo Bimbo was recognized for its growth trajectory and its contribution to the strategic integration of markets in Latin America.

    SEP 2014

    Daniel Servitje, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Grupo Bimbo, received the Business Excellence Award, granted by Forbes, for his career as head of Grupo Bimbo, during the celebration of the Mexico and Latin America Forum: Los nuevos paradigmas empresariales (The new business paradigms).

    JUL 2014

    Barcel USA was awarded the Nielsen United States Innovation Award for its line of Takis snacks, a recognition that is only granted to 14 companies in the consumer categories.

    NOV 2013

    Marinela México, subsidiary of Grupo Bimbo, was recognized with the 2013 National Quality Award for high standards of innovation, quality, and performance that allow it to offer products of the highest quality to its customers and consumers.

    Daniel Servitje, CEO of Grupo Bimbo, was awarded International Executive of the Year by the Executive Club of Chicago, a prize established in 1995 to recognize business leaders who have made exceptional contributions to the global business community.

    Within the framework of its 52nd Annual Ordinary Assembly, the Mexican Council of Foreign Trade (COMCE) of the Northeast, A.C., distinguished Bimbo, S.A. for its high levels of global excellence and quality with the 2013 Rodolfo González Garza Export Merit Award in the category of Great Corporation.

    The National Association of Self-Service and Department Stores, A.C. (ANTAD), the body that brings together the main commercial chains of the country, awarded Bimbo the Business Excellence Award.

    MAR 2012

    Barcel won the 2011 National Quality Award for its Lerma Plant, established in the State of Mexico, a distinction of quality and competitiveness that has recognized more than 100 companies and public and private institutions in the country, and are characterized by their high performance, culture of innovation, and sustainability in their operations.

    The Group won the highest award given by the Whole Grains Council (WGC) during the entire Grains Conference: the New Standard, held in Portland, Oregon, USA.


    Bimbo, S.A. won in 2011 the National Exports Award, granted by the Presidency of the Republic. This recognition distinguishes export processes, leadership, competitiveness, capacity, vision, dynamism, updates, development, innovation, and contribution to the economic and social development of the country.
