REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE
THE PROBLEM OF ERODED SOILS
According to FAO*, 24 billion tons of fertile soil are lost annually to erosion. This puts future food systems at risk, affecting both biodiversity and ecosystems.
* Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations

Regenerative agriculture improves soil health and biodiversity, cares for the water cycle, captures carbon, and boosts farmers' quality of life.

We want to leave a positive footprint

on the land that, for more than 75 years,

has given us the raw material to bring

delicious and nutritious food to the hands

of everyone.

PILLARS OF REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE AT GRUPO BIMBO:

We promote the reduction and elimination of soil erosion to protect natural ecosystems.

We regenerate the soil by increasing biodiversity.

We manage resources efficiently to reduce chemical inputs and increase biological inputs.

We seek to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote carbon sequestration.

We train farmers and help them with the transition from conventional to regenerative agriculture.

OUR GOAL

By 2050, 100% of our key

ingredients will be sourced

from land cultivated with

regenerative farming practices.
