In 2023, Grupo Bimbo started operations in Romania with the acquisition of Vel Pitar, expanding its international presence and bringing its products closer to new consumers in Europe.  

That same year, the company issued one of the largest sustainability-linked corporate bonds in the history of the Mexican market, focused on Scope 3 objectives, for 15 billion pesos.
