Grupo Bimbo one of the 10 most important companies in Mexico according to expansión magazine
The distinction of being one of the 500 most important companies in Mexico reaffirms Grupo Bimbo’s commitment to working every day to build a sustainable, highly productive and deeply humane company.
Expansión magazine has published its 2019 ranking of “The 500 Most Important Companies in Mexico.” Grupo Bimbo appears in the Number 9 slot on the general list and it is the Number 1 company in the food sector, maintaining its standing from last year’s analysis.
This ranking evaluates over 2,500 public and private companies operating in Mexico, with only the 500 most important appearing on the list. Rankings on the list reflect the companies’ net sales reported in 2018. The methodology also takes into account the total number of employees at the companies. For transnational companies, only revenue generated by domestic operations is taken into consideration.
