Grupo Bimbo Hosts Its First Bimbo Ventures Day
Grupo Bimbo held its first Bimbo Ventures Day, an event that brought together startups, investors, and leaders from the entrepreneurial ecosystem to explore the trends and technologies shaping the future of food.
The event took place at Grupo Bimbo’s headquarters in Mexico City and is part of the work driven by Bimbo Ventures, the company’s platform for collaborating and investing in high-potential ventures. Through this initiative, Grupo Bimbo seeks innovative technologies focused on developing simpler, more natural ingredients, improving process efficiency, and creating solutions that are more environmentally friendly.
Pablo Sánchez Servitje, Director of Bimbo Ventures, stated:

To date, we have evaluated more than 2,000 startups, received over 1,100 applications to our innovation programs, and invested in dozens of ventures.”
The Bimbo Ventures Day also featured conversations with industry leaders on emerging consumer trends, breakthrough technologies defining the future of food, and the role of artificial intelligence in transforming the value chain. The program included networking spaces to foster connections and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Through Bimbo Ventures, Grupo Bimbo has partnered with startups such as Oobli, focused on next-generation sweet proteins; Dexterity, driving advanced robotics for automation; Soskende, offering nutritious snacks based on grains and vegetables; and Nixtla, specializing in AI models for process optimization. These collaborations bridge entrepreneurial spirit with the company’s global scale, generating economic, social, and environmental impact.
