At Grupo Bimbo, building that trust and transparency with consumers is essential, which is why we continue to advance toward simpler recipes, recognizable ingredients, and clearer information for our consumers.

This evolution is part of our global sustainability strategy, specifically within our Nutrition pillar, where Positive Nutrition plays a very important role. Our goal is to continuously improve the nutritional quality of our portfolio and provide the best ingredients in our recipes, helping raise the standards of the food industry.

The Pursuit of Simpler and More Transparent Recipes

At Grupo Bimbo, we use safe ingredients approved by the health authorities in the countries where we operate. At the same time, we understand that consumers are looking for simpler recipes and clearer labels.

That is why we have committed to removing artificial colors from our entire product portfolio by the end of 2026 as part of a comprehensive strategy to improve and evolve our recipes. This effort seeks to incorporate simpler ingredients that consumers can easily recognize and trust, as part of a broader process of ingredient evolution and recipe simplification.

100% of Our Daily Consumption Portfolio Is Already Free from Artificial Colors

Since 2024, our entire daily consumption portfolio, including breads, buns, bagels, and english muffins, has been free from artificial colors, and 99% of it contains no artificial flavors.

In addition, throughout 2025, we continued making progress in removing artificial colors from occasional-consumption products, including some of our most preferred products.

The Goal for 2026: A Portfolio Completely Free from Artificial Colors

By the end of 2026, Grupo Bimbo’s entire portfolio will be free from artificial colors.

Achieving this goal requires innovation, collaboration with suppliers, and research and development processes that allow us to maintain the quality, safety, taste, and experience people expect from our brands.

The Portfolio Transformation Continues

Food continues to evolve, and so do we. That is why we keep transforming our recipes to offer accessible, delicious products with improved nutritional profiles, while strengthening transparency and consumer trust.
