It is the perfect innovation that combines the hot touch of the “Habanero” pepper with the taste of recently “toreado” (pan fried) peppers.
Barcel launches a new product into the salty snacks market segment called: ”Toreadas Habanero” potato chips, which, as its name implies, has the well known taste of the “Habanero” pepper, one of the favorites in Mexican cuisine.
Adriana Urrutia, Barcel Marketing Manager, stated: “Toreadas Habanero” are the ideal snack for those who demand new concepts and flavors. That is why Barcel, a 100% Mexican owned company, has come up with this new development that offers consumer the extraordinary taste experience of the “toreado” peppers, which is one of the Mexican culinary resources whereby pepper releases its juice, allowing for a better balance between flavor and hotness, with the promise of delicious nuisances.”
The “Toreadas Habanero” potato chips will be launched at a national level with advertising support, such as: a semi-animated TV ad version, radio ads and point of sales materials (Display strips, posters and column displays). These materials were developed by Young Rubicam.
Barcel will take advantage of its large distribution network and expertise in launching new products into the market to make available the new “Toreadas Habanero” potato chips mainly for its young and adult consumers.
